Street Lighting Electrical Groundman
Reports to: Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working with Journeyman in troubleshooting circuits, repairs to conduit, replacement of damage poles and fixtures
Operate a ninety pound jackhammer
Turning street lighting circuits off at the electrical service prior to working on circuit
Dig street light pole bases
Replace damaged refractors, pole doors, missing pole or service labels and install CLP 800# on services where they do not exist/paint street light poles
Grease lamp sockets, clean fixtures inside and out with clean rage and cleaner, date all lamps
Replace broken pull box lids; notify supervisor of lowered pull boxes, poles arm concrete spauling problems at pole arm mounting area,
Vegetation maintenance as needed or any issues where it seems unsafe or incorrect
Provide corrective field notes to all incorrect GIS information and submit to supervisor
Perform Underground Service Alert (USA) markings.
Confirm correct amount of paint and tools are located in the truck prior to warehouse departure and mark all street lighting conduit where required using Metro-Tech and GIS Maps.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
Some experience required or enrolled and/or completed in a state certified electrical apprenticeship program.
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record required
Commercial Driver’s License preferred
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
All employees must pass pre-employment drug screens.
All Commercial Driver’s License holders will be entered in the random drug and alcohol testing pool.
