Office Coordinator 

Reports to: Installation Manager
Work Location: Keesler Air Force Base, MS
Employment Type: Full Time - Non-Exempt

City Light & Power adding a location at Keesler Air Force and we are looking for a skilled Office Coordinator who makes great first impressions with outstanding professional communication skills to undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and will be someone who can execute multiple tasks, takes pride in what they do, will be eager to help, welcoming, organized, detail oriented and can easily adapt in a growing environment. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting our field operations.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Handle front office reception and administrative duties within the office

  • Greets guests

  • Answers phones, takes and relays messages

  • Collect, organize and distribute regular mail and FEDEX

  • Maintain and organize filing systems

  • Light cleaning to ensure a tidy office

  • Order office supplies and restock

  • Payroll data entry

  • Processing accounts receivable and cash receipts

  • Scan credit card receipts, invoices and expense reports to Accounting

  • Operator/ dispatcher for emergency calls, outages and new service orders

  • Processes and schedules all employee security screening requirements

  • Provide proactive and responsive internal and external customer service; always aiming to exceed customer expectations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an Office Coordinator or similar role required

  • Experience as an Office Coordinator within the Electrical Construction or Utilities Industry a plus.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Detail oriented and works with high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines

  • Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision

  • Ability to interact effectively with peers, supervisors and the public

  • Promote a good company image and maintain confidentiality

  • Some accounting knowledge and experience with invoice and timesheet data entry preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • You must be a US Citizen authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

  • Military Base Security Clearance is required for this position.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean record required.
