CLP is growing and looking to add an energetic individual looking to grow with the company. This position is perfect for someone looking to start their career in HR and who is willing to learn all areas of HR. The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations and support of the administrative functions of the Safety Department.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
Provides clerical and operational support to other HR staff and Safety Staff.
Other duties as assigned

Human Resource Duties
Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Assists with new-employee orientations.
Maintains confidential personnel files.
Handles employment application intake and Affirmative Action tracking.
Prepares job postings.
Assists with HR projects.
Assists with benefits administration.
Processes payroll changes using a computerized system Paylocity.
Safety Department Duties
Maintains Employee DOT system and tracks required testing.
Responds to DOT verifications of employment status.
Update training databases with employee information.
Update Online Safety Systems
Monthly Reporting and statistical analysis
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required, Human Resources or Accounting focus preferred.
One to two years Human Resources experience required
Payroll experience preferred
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office Products.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Must have excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communications skills.
Must be a team player and able to work with various partners from start to finish.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
You must be a US Citizen authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel if required.
